Does RIM know how to crush a cookie?

Here's what RIM's new CEO Thorsten Heins had to say about Android phones and how RIM wants to be different in it's devices, services and offerings..
Read Part 1 and 2 of the interview with CrackBerry here:

and Android community reaction here:

Anyway, I'm still wondering if RIM has what it takes to become the 4th ecosystem under it's new leader..

What are your thoughts?

Will RIM keep it's own or finally join hands with any of the other two ecosystems..

Who are the BlackBerry fans?
Will they give up all their "enterprisey" stuff for enterprise ready Windows phones ?
Will they wish to experience the fluid iPhone user interface, experience and uniqueness?
Will they change over to Android for the apps, apps and more apps?

Only time and the future RIM balance sheets will tell!
